During this short week. we try to review the KK sounds and grammar. About the rules of have to/has to, must and used to, they should be familiar with. However they still need to remember all the vocabulary and go through all sections we have learned. I hope they'll get a good grade next week.  

We are going to have a long vacation. The kids are excited about having a trip with family. Considering this situation, school authority decides to postpone a few days for reviewing.

Time flies~
It has been the end of the fourth week. We've tried very hard on familiar with  the SP (sentence pattern) and Unit 7 main conversation. I forced every kid to recite in front of me. (They must complain a lot behind me. But it's the way I would like to make sure everyone is not behind. I'm glad they made it!) Furthermore, we read some articles together. I love the time we can talk lots of things together, although the time is so limited. I also believe reading is the trend of learning English. We will put many effort on this part.

Due the entrance exam the kids are going to take next Sunday, we spent some time to do some practice and talk about the testing skills. I hope all of them will get a satisfied score on their test.

We just finished our second week. The children have improved. I can tell they try hard on their studying.  Starting from this semester, I require that each one has to prepare two notebooks, one for daily vocabulary test and the other for taking note. If you would like to know their performance, please ask them to bring the notebooks back.
 
These two weeks we have done Let's Go Unit 7. Most of the kids can recite and memory the main conversation in heart. I will keep encouraging them.

Today is the first day of this semester. I'm glad to see all of the children back to school. This semester is the last semester to kids in XinMin. I really expect them to have a joyful and substantial semester.

In this half year, we are going to experience sense verbs, inking verbs, and present perfect tense. Therefore the variability of verbs will be very important on this stage. We will also review KK and phonics for checking their learning. This semester is quite short. Mid test will in the beginning of April, and final will at the tend of May. However I still have lots of things would like to share with them.  We will seize the time and hope that we will have a wonderful semester.

Although we have started our work today, I still would like to say......

At the end of the semester everything goes so fast. We have done Vocabulary and Listening exams this week. The performance on vocabulary is not so good as our expectation. However the scores of most students are quite good on listening test. In the coming week we are going to face the final written one. I do give them more reviews and directions for reviewing. Please encourage them to have more detailed studying.

Today is winter solstice which is one of the most important solar terms in Taiwan. Although it's so hot today, we still would like to eat "tangyuan", suffered rice dumpling, for celebrating. I sincerely hope you and your family will have a happy reunion night.  

What a cold week! You must suffer fro the low temperature these days. However today it seems get warmer. How about go out and enjoy the night with us. The children are ready and look forward your coming. I hope we'll have a great night together.

Recently we are try to wrapping up Let's Go sentence patterns and conversation. By reciting the dialogue, the kids are not only remember the way to speak but also the conversation patterns they can use.  We'' keep practicing in this way.

Later on  we are going to learn grammar. I also prepare some worksheet on some specific grammar points. I always believe learning is need to be achieved by practicing. Only when the pupils are familiar with the exercise they do, they will really acquire the usage of grammar. Therefore if they complain they have too much exercise  needed to be done, please support them. Thank you~

We keep encouraging kids to memorize the conversation listed on the conversation. Through this method they can review the sentence pattern and vocabulary. That's a great way for reviewing.

The weather is getting cold. It seems the winter is really approaching. In the winter we always like to celebrate the most welcomed holiday Christmas together.  This year we also have  a Christmas performance in the middle of December. I sincerely hope all of you come and join us on that night.

We finished 2nd test smoothly. According to the result I see, the pupils got some improvement  on this time. Especially there are some types of questions differ from the previous one. The test will be passed next Monday. All of us are going to have a big rest this weekend.

We have listed the result of vocabulary test on the communication book.   There are still some words they get confused like skiing and ice skating, diploma and diplomat...   Tomorrow we'll pass it back. Please encourage them to review these words again.

This time the listening test still includes conversation, long paragraph comprehension, and KK & phonics.   Listening to the CDs is quite a good way to practice.  I hope they'll get ready for tomorrow's test.

We have done vocabulary exam this morning. It almost can be seen as the first fight of second exam. Through this exam the pupils reviewed the words for the test. It also built up the foundation for following sections. They will go through the listening test this Fri. They still need to spare some for reviewing conversation, KK, and reading.
